The Civil Guad have taken a foreign resident of Benalmádena into custody after an operation by the Organised Crime and Drugs Squad in Málaga over the Christmas period.
Officers seized more than one and a half tons of cannabis resin. The two suspects are named in a Civil Guard press release as M.E.V., who is 35 and is from Romford in Essex.
They have both been remanded to custody.
The drugs were found on a lorry intercepted by the Civil Guard, and were hidden amongst pallets of crockery. The cargo was bound for the UK.
